Chris Barrett

Chris Barrett has always been interested in firearms and all things mechanical. He got his first 10-22 when he was 12 and began shooting local matches with his grandfather shortly thereafter. He shot his first State match at 17 and took 1st in the junior division. Soon after that, sponsor requests began. He now has been a sponsored shooter for multiple seasons. Over the years, Chris has won several junior titles, state titles, and has earned podium finishes at both national and world levels. He was the first person in Steel Challenge history to break the 60-second barrier and holds multiple world and national records.

Chris is a 7-time World Champion and 3-time National Champion. He recently won a silver medal representing the USA at the IPSC World Shoot and finished 6th in the nation at USPSA Nationals. He specializes in rifle and enjoys competing against top shooters from around the world.

Chris said, “None of this would be possible without the incredible support from my sponsors. Every day is an adventure—an opportunity to push my limits, master new skills, and connect with amazing people. For me, it’s not just about competition—it’s about creating lasting memories and building a future through promoting the sport I love.”

Chris began his college career in the fall of 2019. While in high school, he was the president of his school’s Student Technical Association (Engineering Club). He also competed in basketball and ran track. He enjoys spending his free time golfing and being involved in his local church.

After college, Chris plans to combine his interest in how things work with his passion for shooting sports by pursuing a career as a sponsored shooter and working in the firearms industry.
