Adam Riser
Adam Riser is a former climbing guide who found the sport of 3-Gun on a break between expeditions. Although he remains focused on climbing, it’s not uncommon for him to come home from a couple weeks in the mountains, change gear, drive to a major match, and still place in the top five.
Constantly switching between rock, ice, and alpine climbing, backcountry skiing, freeride mountain biking, and competition shooting, Adam credits an analytical approach to training and solid gear for his ability to stay at a high level in many different sports.
His time as a climbing guide gave Adam a love for passing on knowledge, and he applies the same philosophy to 3-Gun. Despite his busy schedule, Adam is also an instructor at the Tactical Performance Center where he approaches teaching with the same dedication that he gives to his own training. When asked about his proudest achievement in competition shooting, he’ll tell you it was the first time a student beat him on a stage.
